You'll find all the info you need related to the sandbox and sandbox invites here:
http://university.utest.com/invitations/#sandboxprogram

Also make sure you read this topic:
viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1611

Your profile completeness is above 90% so it shouldn't impact the invites, but just in case you should make sure your profile is complete and that you haven't skipped anything important, here's a list of the info you need to input to have 100% profile completeness:

Personal Info (city, phone, birth year, gender) - 2%
At least one computer - 10%
At least one mobile - 10%
At least one experience & skill - 10%
Avatar Photo - 3%
Basic Info - 30%
At least one testing types - 3%
About me - 5%
At least one application type - 2%
Testing expertise completed (if functional is selected, you need to selected at least one function to complete it) - 25%

Note: For example if you choose to not participate in mobile testing, and not input a mobile device, your profile will not reach 100%, but this lower profile completeness will not prevent you from joining opportunities in your chosen testing areas.

User Experience & Usability | Re: Eye tracking in Usability

Yeah, nothing new here. Ultimately, usability research attempts to get deep inside the user's mind, which is often plagued with unexplained intentions and motivations. To that end, researchers need to use both implicit and explicit methods to capture the bigger picture. Eye tracking is one such implicit method that has been around for a while now, and it's useful because users will often misrepresent what they see or even why they're performing a set of actions. By tracking eye movements, both what you see and what you click on is available for analysis.

Thank you for that link, Marek. I was quite surprised (and happy) to get that kind of recognition right after my first paid project.

Companies! I don't think consumers are in a position to handle the problem and I'm not a fan of government regulation. You would think the industry groups mandating solutions on companies accepting credit cards would have had more of an impact, though.

Good reminders! Where I worked a few jobs back, I was the only QA person (small shop) and we had just brought on someone to do some server monitoring/backup sysadmin/general tech work. He and I were doing some smoke testing of a new release we were getting ready to roll out. As part of that process, we had to create customer profiles, assign them a device, enable that device for service, etc. He ended up using some less than flattering names for the customer records, instead of something innocuous like Joe Tester. Our manager saw that and went ballistic. I'm pretty sure that incident left a negative image in the manager's mind and was a big reason for his dismissal a couple months later.

General Testing / QA | Re: Is there too much being made about Testers vs. Developer

I can't really think of any adversarial relationships I've had with devs in the past. There have been a couple that are less than friendly, but I think it's more their nature rather than seeing me in their cube. I think most developers I've worked with in the past are happy to have a QA resource to back them up. That doesn't stop me from joking with someone that their code is busted (in a work appropriate manner!).

Quote:2) Keep bug report simple with only the required steps.
3) Attachment videos always below 10MB or so.
I just started participating in test cycles. It was not easy to follow principles that I learned, and put many to my report and video. I learned from peers in the test cycle. I should keep in mind your points. Thank you.
